That would be great.  We'll run some test cases on a new Solaris.

It's entirely possible that it *has* been fixed, and we didn't know
because we weren't careful to test things very recently, or on
recent machines & OS versions.  (As you pointed out, testing these
things thoroughly is a big pain.)

Sorry for any incorrect disparagements of Sun.
