    Thank you for your reply.

    Your suggestion, that of (1) partitioning the heap (2) and incrementally
collecting seems to be a good one.  I have received other responses to
my post that seem to say  something similar.  Nick Barnes, in particular,
has outlined a solution in which one partitions the oldest generation, with
each partition having its own remembered set.

    BTW, I don't know of Sapphire techniques or train algorithm,
but I will look them up.
