I am the same guy who had posted request for documentation of JVM 
source code in February.

At present I have been able to modify the source code of JVM 
hotspot v1.3.1 to produce relevant information regarding the 
copying collection.

I wanted to know whether anybody has an idea that how
an object id is calculated by JVM.

This is the object id which is returned to the application 
programmer with the function
Object.hashCode().

It would be great help if someone could share knowledge regarding 
the calculation of this unique hashcode(object id).
