The CADR doesn't have the option of using something like the 2x2
Lambda, it has to pull files off a networked fileserver when
booting a cold load.
It did have something similar though, where you can do CC against a
slave CADR and debug the hardware.
As for TFTP MINI, that could useful for Lambda as well and not require
the 2x2 setup to do QLD (does it use MINI for QLD?). But for
debugging microcode, CC or similar would be really useful and that
requires something capable of connecting to CADR (at least), and
talking CC to the slave (be it Lambda, CADR, or something UNIXy).
One part of the CADR development toolchain that does run on UNIX
now is the cold load builder, it is a *lot* faster than the lispm
one.
Did you manage to work out the wrinkles for cold loading System 99?
