Bignums

Someone more knowledgable than I will surely correct me, but my
impression is,that CNU-CL does just what H.Baker suggest re bignums:
they are implemented (their operations) in lisp, based on a few
primitive operations like add-with-carry etc.
So, I think we should stop the language discussion, which is
definitely interesting, but will lead us nowhere in this context. I
think that implemeneting a new OS and a new language would very
probably bew too much four group.
