Name: Martin Cracauer

Email address: cracauer@cons.org

Country: Germany

Experience:

Working as a free software developer since I left school in 1988,
mostly programming in C (which I enjoy), since 1991 Unix-only, high
interest in Common Lisp since 1992. I maintain some resources for the
current CMU developers and I am member of the FreeBSD development team
(working mostly on their Web applications).

Special areas of interest:

NO interest in GC :-) Interest in reflection only to the extend of
"passive" reflection to ask objects about their structure at runtime
  (for persistence, distributed objects, debugging).

What I want is a "Lisp Desktop" (and decent filesystem) where one Lisp
world represents all major parts, I want good integration with Unix
  (like Olin Schiver's scsh does).

Areas prepared to work on:

Pushing CLX, a Cl-based emacs clone and hopefully a free CLIM to the
desktop I dream of. Implementing functionality like scsh provides to
  interface with Unix programs.

I will prepare a description of the desktop issues and put it on my
  web pages.

Level of commitment:

My free time varies and I'm involved in several projects, so I can't
really tell. I will for sure invest time to bring CMUCL forward. I
already maintain CVS distribution machines, WWW and ftp servers for
other projects and I could do so for LispOS as well.
