Conway's Life demo.

Hi all,

Well, there's a first real working demo in Slate CVS, which doesn't
involve files, but is actually quite pleasing. At least, it's pleasing to
us, since it helped us root out many small bugs and other oddly-handled
cases in the libraries. Instructions print out as you file it in, and the
file-in will load all the other required libraries.

So, "'demo/life.slate' fileIn." will get you going. But honestly, it's so
slow that it hardly even qualifies as a screen-saver, so don't pin your
hopes on being able to impress your friends just yet. :) Anyway, it's
instructive in a minor way for reading.

I'll try to work up a demo that uses the libraries in more interesting
ways soon.
