I'm at work but I noticed on IRC that Lee has managed to create a vm/image pair that performs some simple additional optimizations for message-sends. The speed difference, I am told, is noticable. They are uploaded to http://slate.tunes.org/downloads/alpha/ as usual. For safety's sake, take care not to overwrite your existing vm's and images.
