Patch for boot.c and Makefile

boot.c - 'Modernized' arguments, slate.image is the default to boot, va_arg
error(), image name reported on errors and messages

Makefile - SLATE_DATADIR for finding slate.image in the default installation
location - unused, here for opinions. Depending on the configure process at
any level is maybe not desired even on the platform-dependant side of
things. (the general build process)
