Seems FFI is the main blocker for Slate now, right?

First, I'd like to excuse for unintentionnaly resends my message about
'I think SDL is not a so good idea'. Especially that it was quite a rude
message, when I suggested that Slate philosophy is to rewrite everything
in Slate. Which finally, could well more be my philosophy than the one of
the project.

But here how I see the situation for Slate:

Real Slate applications depends on a GUI (Graphical user interface).
GUI depends on GUI primitives.
primitives depends on FFI (Foreign function interface).

Is FFI waiting for something too?

Anyway, I am not very much aware about FFI.
