"Infopipes" - interesting paper on data-flow abstraction

Related to some ideas I've bounced around offline for improving our  
Stream framework, there's a paper on the idea of an info-pipe, a data- 
flow channel with push/pull interfaces at both ends. I notice that  
one is a long-time Squeaker and they use some Smalltalk notation:
