  I can't speak for mlist, but I run a majordomo list and we set the
default reply to the person sending the message to avoid recursive
bouncing. i.e.

One person changes ISPs and forgets to unsubscribe from the list.
Each message sent to him bounces back *to the list*.
Each bounce to the list gets sent to him because he's on the list.
Each bounce bounces to the list again.
Repeat ad nauseum.
