So, to summarize the vsta exchange: tunes probably needs to have a
well designed language to support its semantics before we'll able to
carry it very far.
Furthermore, it should probably have the C interfaces mapped out to
some degree (here's an area where you can use C, here's an area where
C isn't a good idea, ...).
Perhaps it would be a good idea to look at how the design of Unix and
C were codependent. [Or how Multics relied on PL/1 -- a language
which would be considered small and light by today's "standards".]
