NewtonOS has been mentionned in the discussion,
but it seems to bring no new concept to Tunes
(though it is a proof that some of the Tunes concepts are workable).

Indeed it is (see Glossary.html and HLL/Requirements.html).
It's been a primary target of Tunes since the very beginning.
PS: tunesdoc.zip is momentarily unavailable, due to SunOS reporting error
when reading the floppy used to transfer Tunes :( :( :(
