I do industrial automation.  I go to factories and program 30 year old piece of sh*t logic
controllers do whatever the bonehead who happens to think it's broken wants.  I work in Dos
most of the time (software doesn't even work properly in Win95)...  Only one type of
controller even has a linux port, and that's IDEC, which sucks... if you know anything about
PLC programming, or ladder programming: IDEC does not allow branched output... ugggh... lots
and lots of repetitive typing.

I only play with Linux as a hobby, and to further my own knowledge, and in the chance that I
get a job as a sysadmin (previous job).  My strong points are in networking and sys
administraion, and now industrial programming (which is different then programming for a
desktop system or a server as it is totally situational and very timing intensive).
