Arturo,

I wish to apologize for giving the appearance of "tearing you down". I can easily 
see how my message gives this impression. I should have made very clear that I 
respect what you've done, but even given that, that I don't believe it to be 
significant enough to deserve a patent.

The thought process I described is exactly the one that went through my head when 
I decided to tackle this problem. It took maybe a half days thought to get to the 
"AHA" stage.

I just don't think a half days thought for the basic idea deserves a patent. In 
any case, arguing about the conditions under which a patent is appropriate is not 
in this groups charter.

Once again, I should not have gotten off on this tangent, and I sincerely 
apologize for that and any insult I gave.

I'll post a reply to the technical content after I get the kids to bed.
