I suspect this may be a Genera issue and nothing MacIvory specific.
Could it be the logical host that is missing, rather than a server?
You need to setup sys:site; files for system logical host 
translations so :Rest Dist knows where to put things in LMFS.  Have a 
look at DocEx or other sys:site; setups.
