Using CL with Linux or Hurd

I'm just trying to push the discussion in various directions to get
opinions.  That's why I said to assume this "for the moment".

Right now, I'm just researching the options.

But I want to avoid the possibility of the discussion degenerating
into a religious war about languages.  Ultimately picking either language
and pushing forward is better than having things break down because we
can't pick a language implementation to use as a base.

So I apologize if it seems I'm rushing things.  I'm just trying to keep
the discussion constructive.  That's all.
