I've read some about the GGI project.  My understanding is that this is
an interface between the terminal/graphics and the kernel.  It doesn't
replace X, but will sit under it.  But I think it will be useful to us.

We should keep this simple and just use X for right now.  But maybe wrap
some of this up in CLOS objects...
