I agree with this statement in principle. 

I think that a better way to get binary compatibility is at the VM level. 
Translate JVM bytecodes to LispVM wordcodes, or native code. This approach
allows LispOS to keep out of the Win32 tarpit, yet still offer the ability to
run "binaries from other platforms."
