   I think that a better way to get binary compatibility is at the VM level. 
   Translate JVM bytecodes to LispVM wordcodes, or native code. This approach
   allows LispOS to keep out of the Win32 tarpit, yet still offer the ability
   to run "binaries from other platforms."

I'm currently working on a JVM on CL.  At first it will run on ACL, I
hope that it will be possible to port it to some free lisp, eventually.

I think I will have an initial release in a couple of months (famous
last words).

BTW, my JVM is called Camomilla; let's stop with all these iperactive
coffee metaphors!  8-)
