I certainly understand the concern, and I do support the GPL
idea. However, I also think it somewhat dangerous to start getting too
formal on this issues already. I kind of think that this must be an
individual decision among the subprojects for now. 

If we at some later point will need/want to put together some coherent
OS distribution (that lisp-machine-on-a-CD someone was mentioning), we
do need to agree, but given the current state of affairs, little is
gained and it may drive people away.

I am not really a purist when it comes to this, and we definitely need
all the code we can get.
