Filenames integrity

Think about it. If you simply create a list of name string and object
reference* pairs all this will happen automatically. You keep a
reference to this list somewhere conveniently, perhaps as an icon on
you computer screen, and call it your computers root directory. 

What about subdirs? One of the pairs in the list could of course
reference another similar list. The pair would still contain a name
string, the name of the subdir.
