Filenames integrity

My point of view is that names and classification in dir and subdirs
are just a convenience for the human user. The system just requires
references in order to work. Then it is up to UI to be able to display
convenient names to the user. The notion of "convenient name" depends
on the user's preferences, so it must not be hardcoded and shared by
all users.

So I agree with the last part of your message (the editor replaces the
ID witha name).
