I should add that we say (truthfully on http://tunes.org/tunes.html and
the Why a New OS? article) that our goal is to make a computing system
which replaces (among many other things) operating systems. People who
obsess about control of the hardware focus on this and forget the
perspective that makes this truly possible, or at least don't discuss it
or actively pursue it, which is just as effective in impeding progress.
